These are $5 sunglasses with a $40 price tag.
I bought the Octave with the polarized smoke lens, advertised as Category 3 for bright light and full sun. I live in the Arizona desert. Full sun is not an occasional event here, so that description mattered when I chose them. They provide virtually NO protection from the full sun. They are worthless in full sun.
The glasses I received feel incredibly cheap. Not “a little disappointing for the price” cheap. Dollar-store cheap. If I had picked these up at Dollar Tree for $5, I would have thought they were about what I expected for $5.
I paid $40.
The frame feels cheap, the entire pair feels cheap, and nothing about them feels remotely like a $40 pair of sunglasses. The description and presentation led me to expect a substantially better product than what arrived.
I don’t mind paying $40 for sunglasses. I mind paying $40 and receiving what feels like a $5 product.
For me, these were a complete rip-off.
