Find Your Fit

A great-looking pair should feel right, too. Start with the measurements of glasses that already fit you comfortably.

Read the measurements

Frame dimensions are usually shown in millimeters as lens width × bridge width × temple length. Lens height and total front width are separate measurements.

What each frame measurement means
Measurement What to compare
Lens width The horizontal width of one lens, not the full frame.
Bridge width The distance between the lenses at the bridge.
Temple length The length of the arm from its hinge to its end.
Lens height The vertical height of one lens.
Total front width The width across the front of the frame, including the frame edges.

Compare more than a size label

Small, medium and oversized labels are a starting point, not a promise of fit. Bridge shape, nose pads, frame curvature and temple design also affect how glasses sit. Two frames with similar numbers can feel different.

Check the fit

The bridge should sit comfortably without pinching or constantly sliding. The temples should not squeeze the sides of your head. Your eyelashes should not brush the lenses. Compare on-face photos when available, but use measurements and comfort together.
